Description

Subsea BOP is the wellhead pressure control valve used as a safety equipment commonly found located between lubricator and wellhead / Christmas Tree,  BOP is one of the major well control equipment, specialized valve used to to seal, control and monitor oil and gas wells to prevent blowout or the uncontrolled release of crude oil and/or natural gas from a well.

The design incorporates RAM Bodies with inner seals that allow pressure to be contained with the well once the bodies are closed. This allow the pressure above to be bled off while the wire or cable is till intact thereby enable repairing and other works to be carried out on equipment above. The design also features equalizing valves that are fitted to the main body to allow equalization of lubricator and well pressure when the operation is to be resumed.
